Responsibilities

The Psychiatric Institute of Washington is seeking a talented and dynamic Associate Administrator - Behavioral Health to join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals!The Psychiatric Institute of Washington provides comprehensive behavioral healthcare for adolescents, adults, and senior adults suffering from mental health and addictive illnesses. PIW is a 130 bed, short-term, acute care hospital offering inpatient, partial and intensive outpatient hospitalization, as well as specialized treatment programs for chemical dependency.Position Summary:The Associate Administrator sets objectives, develops, plans, staffs, and directs activities of assigned departments/areas of responsibility. Assists hospital's senior leader in the operation of the hospital. May assume administrative responsibility for the hospital in the absence of the hospital senior leader. In addition, the Associate Administrator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing hospital activities pertaining to regulatory compliance, legal issues, hospital licensing, hospital preparation for CARF/Joint Commission/DBHR certification, quality assurance activities, outcomes assessment, confidentiality regulations of HIPAA/CFR 42, Part 2, and medical staff privileging, credentialing and scheduling (as applicable). Master's Degree required in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or clinical specialtyClinical licensure in DC preferred.At least 3 years of experience directing hospital operations on a daily basisKnowledge of Joint Commission, local, state, and federal laws and regulationsEffective written and oral communication skills.
