Position Summary

We're searching for a Benefits Administrator who will assist the Benefits Manager in managing the day-to-day operations of the Company’s benefits programs including health, dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability, life insurance, travel and accident plan, flexible spending plans and retirement plans. The Benefits Administrator will also contribute to the Company’s Wellness Program and help administer the Company’s charitable giving initiatives.

Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To

Develop a comprehensive understanding of the Company’s benefit offerings; effectively and clearly communicate information regarding benefits verbally and in written responses to team membersRespond to routine benefit plan inquiries via email, the HR ticket system and Benefits mailbox in a timely manner; research itemsProcess benefit life event changes; collect supporting documentation; follow up as neededTroubleshoot system related new hire benefit enrollment issues and provide appropriate solutionsProcess benefit changes in the HRIS system and ensure changes are made appropriately monitoring pre-payroll reports; attend biweekly payroll meetingProcess benefit programs uploads and updates to databases to various providersAssist with processing of medical support notice requirements and other compliance requirements; maintain benefits compliance calendarConduct COBRA audit; assist with COBRA issuesAssist with renewal and open enrollment processesAssist with creating and maintenance of benefits process documentationAssist with review of approval of benefit plan vendor invoices; provide reconciliation documentationProcess and maintain documentation for tuition and other reimbursements/401k hardship withdrawalsReview and provide corrections from feedback reports from file feedsAssist with maintenance of Benefit pages on the Company’s intranet and AirboConduct Benefits orientation, 401k overview class coverage as neededAdminister transportation and Lifestyle account programsCollect and provide documentation for update of the HR benefits budgetAssist with 401k audit, Non-discrimination testing for 401k and FSA plansMaintain benefit contact information and benefits collateralAssist with appropriate branding of marketing materials/PowerPoint presentationsPreparation of presentations for educational purposes; creation how to documentsAssist with requests for information from benefits broker and vendorsAssist with obtaining and distributing Berkshire branded products to team membersAssist with special projects as assigned by the Benefits Manager and HR Leadership teamConsistently demonstrate use of tact and discretion

Knowledge/Experience

Bachelor’s degree required with a focus in Human Resources or related field; demonstrated interest in career within Human Resources and benefits management; prior experience or internship within a Human Resources department preferredAptitude for organizing, prioritizing, and managing multiple priorities, using critical thinking and problem solvingDemonstrated multi-modal communication style that reaches every stakeholder, specifically excellent verbal, and written communicationsAbility to communicate with and manage up to senior managementCollaborative working style with inclusive work and thinking behaviors, commitment to excellence in teams and work product, with a strong work ethicDemonstrate emotional intelligence in high pressure and sensitive situationsTenacity, patience, and perseverance to work with business deals from beginning to end of processRepresent the Berkshire employment brand well to candidates by seeking to understand the capabilities and insights of people with unique backgrounds, cultures, styles, and abilitiesMaintain confidentiality of sensitive information and communications of informationDevelop productive working relationships with all team members including internal clients and external third partiesDemonstrated high level of ethics and integrity with a straightforward and honest approach

Technical/Educational Requirements

Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills requiredDemonstrated ability to use and learn new technology (e.g., computers/hardware, mobile, software, cloud-based programs)Proficiency with computers, keyboards, monitors and telephone headsets.Proficiency in Microsoft Suite of Products (e.g., Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams, Power Point)
