Under the leadership of the Medical Imaging Supervisor, this role provides technical assistance to all physicians working in the Interventional Suite with both vascular and interventional procedures. Responsible for the day-to-day clinical, technical and operational functions within the Imaging department. This includes, but is not limited to, the efficient, effective procurement, utilization and stewardship of all technical, physical and human resources. Ensures compliance with patient care quality standards as it relates to care provided to all age groups of patients in area, ranging from neonate to geriatric. Participates in performance improvement activities within the Interventional department and participates in CQI activities. This position requires compliance with all Joint Commission, state, federal, corporate radiation policies, and local regulatory laws, standards and protocols. Must possess critical thinking skills and strive to create and maintain great relationships with all facility stakeholders. May also be responsible for operating various imaging equipment to assist in minimally invasive diagnostic and intermediate level procedures. Included equipment may include IR Suite equipment, Diagnostic X-ray to include fluoroscopy, MRI, CT, or Mammography units. May provide diagnostic and specialized imaging services in both the inpatient and outpatient environment. Provides technical support to Radiologist & residents during advanced imaging studies. Serves as a resource in their specialized field to co-workers.Minimum Requirements:

Graduate of an accredited radiography program.One of the following required: ARRT (R), (VI) or ARRT CV.BLS required upon hire.Good critical thinking ability and communication skills.Ability to work with minimal supervision.Must have knowledge of the human development process and ability to work effectively with all patients of all ages.Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs to assist and move patients.Ability to operate a computer and to input and retrieve data.Must maintain BCLS certification as a condition of continued employment.Preferred Qualifications:

1-2 years' experience as an Interventional Technologist
