Senior Interventional Radiology Technologist Spotlight

Location: Portland, MEFacility: Maine Medical CenterSchedule - Shift - Hours: Full Time - Day Shift**current MaineHealth Employees not Eligible**Position SummarySenior technologists in the department assist the manager with the day-to-day running of the department along with assigned projects and initiatives. This is a specialized clinical and administrative position performing Vascular and Neuro Interventional procedures as well as supervising daily work in IR.Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)Education:

Completion of a two-year program of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology.License/Certifications:

Must be licensed as a Radiologic Technologist through the State of Maine or obtain licensure prior to hire; Advanced modality registry in VI or CV through ARRT preferred, BLS and ACLS required.Experience:

Minimum five years interventional radiology experience. Comprehensive knowledge of all IR Vascular and Neuro procedures, techniques, equipment, and supplies used, as well as a high level of proficiency in performing all IR procedures.Analytical ability to organize the activities of others and to make effective daily operational decisions.Interpersonal skills necessary to direct the work of others, maintain effective working relationships with technologists, managers, physicians, and others, and provide effective leadership of the technical staff.High level of organizational skills with the ability to develop and maintain multiple highly detailed process documents.Understands and supports a culture of ownership and engagement.Ability to function in an administrative role in the absence of the IR Manager.Additional InformationWith a career at any of the MaineHealth locations across Maine and New Hampshire, you’ll be working with health care professionals that truly value the people around them – both within the walls of the organization and the communities that surround it.
