SUMMARYHennepin Healthcare is hiring a Staff Nurse RN (1.0 FTE: 5 days/week, 8 hour shifts) for our Cancer Center in downtown Minneapolis to work day shift. This role will focus on Radiation Therapy.

***This position is currently Monday-Friday day hours but may expand to include evenings and weekends as we grow.

A sign-on bonus is available for eligible external candidates (current employees and former employees returning to HHS within one year are ineligible).

RESPONSIBILITIESWithin the context of the Hennepin Healthcare System Relationship-Based Care practice model, and under general supervision, the registered nurse provides and coordinates nursing care by:

Protecting, promoting wellness and optimizing healthTriaging patients by assessing severity of symptoms and referral to appropriate setting or level of careAlleviating suffering through the treatment of the human responsePartnering with the patient, their family and significant othersDocumenting interventions and an individualized plan of careEducating patient on their disease processAssuring continuity of careEducating patient and family in preventative care which promotes health and well being

QUALIFICATIONSMinimum Qualifications:

Graduation from an accredited school of nursingPossession of a valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the State of MinnesotaOne year of current oncology professional nursing (RN) experienceOCN certified or able to obtain certification within 2 years of hire dateChemo administrative experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Certification in area of clinical specialtyChemo/Biotherapy courseInpatient Oncology experienceBSN Preferred. Bachelor of Nursing degree is strongly encouraged. Advancement in academic education will be discussed as part of individual professional development during the annual performance review.

This role is subject to the Inpatient pay scale.
