Each of Summit’s companies celebrates their individual legacies, but together - we are Summit Materials.OverviewAs a Treasury Analyst, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the company's activities related to cash management and liquidity. You will play a vital role in ensuring efficient strategies to maximize returns on investments and the monitoring of cash transactions.This role supports a good standing in the community, sustainable operations, and adheres to and upholds all company policies, safety standards and federal / state regulations.Cash Management:Develop and implement strategies for effective cash flow management.Monitor daily cash positions and forecast future cash needs.Optimize the use of bank accounts and cash across the company’s platforms.Investment Management:Evaluate investment opportunities and recommend appropriate investment vehicles.Monitor and manage the company's investment portfolio.Balance risk and return considerations in investment decisions.Bank Relationship Management:Maintain strong relationships with banks and financial institutions.Negotiate terms and conditions for banking services.Stay informed about industry trends and changes in banking regulations.Compliance and Reporting:Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and accounting standards.Prepare quarterly and annual debt compliance certificates.Prepare and submit reports to senior management and external stakeholders, including the monthly liquidity model.Collaborate with internal and external auditors during audits.Treasury Systems and Technology:Participate in the implementation and maintenance of treasury management systems.Stay up to date of advancements in treasury technology and recommend upgrades as needed.Work closely with other departments, such as finance, accounting, and operations, to align treasury strategies with overall business objectives.Provide financial insights and support for strategic decision-making.Minimum Qualifications3 to 4 years of experience in Treasury with a publicly traded company.Must have experience with JP Morgan or Bank of America platforms.Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.Proficiency in using treasury management systems and ERP systems.Proficient in excel and ability to both prepare and reconcile activity in the bank accounts to the general ledger.Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.High level of integrity and commitment to comply with all applicable federal / state / industry compliance, record keeping, regulations and standards.Due to the nature of this position, it is essential that the teammate be available to report to the designated work site / office and be ready to begin work when scheduled, including the ability to travel 10% with or without notice.Must be able to pass pre-employment screening which may include a background check and drug screen.Build a lasting career with us.
