Sr. Audit Project Manager – Credit Risk
Lewis James Professional is a woman-owned staff augmentation, project consulting and direct hire search and placement firm. We are currently seeking a Sr. Audit Project Manager – Credit Risk for a direct hire opportunity with a financial services client.
Responsibilities:
Run a team focused on assigned audit.
Provide supervision and assignments to team members as Auditor in Charge.
Identify the full range of risks related to processes, regulatory compliance, organization, policy, and technology.
Supervise the performance of control testing.
Document work performed in compliance with internal audit methodology.
Oversee control design adequacy in complex business processes.
Review documents completed by staff and draft audit report.
Partner with management regarding audit scope, status, and findings.
Adhere to time and staffing budgets for assigned audits.
Train staff auditors, including meaningful and relevant feedback for improvement in the form of coaching notes and verbal discussions.
Conduct the complete audit life cycle for complex or high-risk audit components.
Deliver expert knowledge in technical audit design process for obtaining, analyzing and evaluating evidentiary data.
Ensure audit issues are well-defined, root causes are identified, and recommendations for improved controls and processes are communicated to management.
Provide feedback on staff performance to Audit Leadership.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree (4-Year Accredited College).
6 – 10 Years related auditing experience.
Relevant financial services industry knowledge.
Credit Review, Credit Risk Management and Loan Operations knowledge.
Thorough understanding of Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) Standards.
Certification highly preferred (CIA, CPA, CISA, or other relevant professional designations).
