This role will partner with the Corporate Treasury team to ensure accurate financial reporting and accounting for derivatives/hedging instruments and for the Company's corporate debt. Essential skills in this role include the ability to communicate complicated accounting concepts in an easy-to-understand manner, and the ability to drive process improvements. The Treasury and Derivatives accountant will have high visibility to the broader Treasury team and within the Controller's group.Sr. Accountant maintains adequate accounting and control for various accounting functions. Maintains and reconciles general ledger and subsidiary ledger accounts. Prepares financial statements and reports. Maintains and develops automated accounting systems, controls, and procedures. Prepares and develops reports for management and/or for regulatory authorities. Responds to inquiries regarding accounting policies, procedures, and issues from management, external auditors, and regulatory authorities.Basic Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent work experience- Eight or more years of experience in financial accounting activitiesPreferred Skills/Experience- Proficient computer skills, especially Microsoft Office applications- Considerable knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other regulations- Considerable knowledge of accounting, reporting, and analysis- Ability to identify and resolve exceptions and to analyze data- CPA or CMA preferredThe role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.Benefits:Our approach to benefits and total rewards considers our team members’ whole selves and what may be needed to thrive in and outside work.
