Position Description:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Developer proficient in Microsoft Power Platform to maintain, enhance, and develop existing applications within the Power Platform ecosystem, SharePoint, and other integrated tools within The Office of Financial Information Systems (OFIS) with the CDC. The ideal candidate will also support the development of new applications, perform functional testing, ensure compliance with established standards, and provide technical documentation and training.

This role will involve working closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, provide recommendations, and deliver solutions that align with the client’s business objectives.

Responsibilities:

Maintain & Enhance Existing Applications

Perform development work for applications built with SharePoint, PowerApps, Power Automate, and other Power Platform tools.

Modify existing application features, deploy changes across Development, Test, and Production environments, and ensure functionality through rigorous testing.

Update and maintain all technical documentation related to the application and feature modifications.

Ensure all code is properly commented and documented to support ongoing and future development.

New Application Development

Design, develop, and test new applications within the OFR SharePoint infrastructure using tools like Nintex, Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI.

Gather requirements from stakeholders, create detailed project plans, and deliver solutions aligned with CDC/OFR standards.

Prepare comprehensive technical and user documentation, including operations manuals, user guides, and training materials.

Design and implement solution-based applications and ensure adherence to the ALM (Application Lifecycle Management) process.

Consultation & Recommendations

Provide quarterly written recommendations and briefings regarding the appropriate approaches for Power Platform and application development.

Analyze existing SharePoint applications and provide recommendations for improvements or changes.

Make suggestions on system architecture, security, and governance.

Project & Process Management

Support backlog management, sprint planning, and project execution using MS Azure DevOps or other CDC-provided tools.

Establish and document best practices for development, testing, and deployment in Power Platform environments.

Compliance & Standards

Ensure adherence to HHS, CDC, OFR, and Power Platform compliance standards, both current and future.

Assist in establishing and documenting security roles within the Power Platform environments according to CDC policies and governance.

Required Certifications

PL-100 : Microsoft Power Platform App Maker

PL-200 : Microsoft Power Platform Functional Consultant

PL-400 : Microsoft Power Platform Developer

Microsoft Power Platform Expertise

Proficiency in Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Dataverse, and SharePoint Online.

Strong experience in designing, developing, and deploying low-code solutions and automating workflows.

Familiarity with Nintex or similar tools for SharePoint development.

Development Skills

Ability to perform full lifecycle application development, including analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment.

Expertise in web-based technologies and delivering web services, dashboards, reports, and applications.

Experience with MS Azure DevOps for project management and backlog/sprint planning.

Compliance & Documentation

Ability to adhere to Power Platform Compliance standards.

Experience in producing detailed technical documentation, including code comments, user guides, and operational manuals.

Consultation & Communication

Excellent communication skills for providing written recommendations, briefings, and training to stakeholders.

Ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to gather requirements and provide solutions.

Preferred Requirements

Experience working in federal or government environments, particularly with CDC or HHS.

Experience with system architecture, security considerations, and governance frameworks.

Compensation and Benefits

The projected compensation range for this position is $135,000 to $170,000 per year benchmarked in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. Salary at LCG is determined by various factors, including but not limited to role, location, the combination of education/training, knowledge, skills, competencies, certifications, and work experience.
