This role may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary incentive program, subject to the rule governing the program.Position Summary:As a critical member of the Accounts Receivable (AR) team, the Cash Applications Specialist manages the company's cash inflow and provides excellent customer service to internal and external customers This position supports the general and overall Accounts Receivable accounting to ensure that AR accounting is accurate, timely and in compliance with company policies. The Cash Application Specialist may assist in other bank-related processing tasks. This position helps to identify and implement projects to drive operational excellence.Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:Process high volumes of transactions and remittancesReconcile and post payments via High Radius and SAPReview and process payment type correction requestsManage unidentified/suspense related cash clearingAssist with settling routes along with driver cash reconciliationAddress payment issues like duplicate payments or other discrepanciesAnalyze all types of remits within the system of record as well as remit mailboxesEngage in collection reconciliation processes as necessaryAssist with gathering required documentation for external and internal audit requestsMeet or exceed KPIs as assignedIdentify solutions to drive continuous improvementOther projects or duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience:HS Diploma/GED and 1 to 2 plus years of experience in accounts receivable and cash applicationsAbility to multitask and manage time amid multiple deadlinesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong Microsoft Office Suite skills, i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPointProficient with accounting software programsStrong data entry skillsAbility to operate related office equipment, i.e., computers, 10-key calculator, and copierAbility to work independentlyExperience in a fast-paced environmentCustomer service mindsetExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailThis position must pass a post-offer background and drug testPreferred Skills and Experience:Bachelor's degreeExperience in SAPExperience in High RadiusPhysical Demands and Work Environment :Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
