Our client is seeking an experienced Senior PostgreSQL/MySQL Database Administrator able to perform remote consulting assignments, health checks, tuning, assessments, troubleshooting, installations, and migrations.Will require participation in our 24/7 on-call support rotation. Will require daily multitasking among multiple clients.PostgreSQL DBA Experienced with:

MINIMUM of 10 years of experience as a PostgreSQL DBA Database AdministratorMINIMUM of 7 years of experience as a MySQL DBA Database AdministratorPostgreSQL versions 9.3 to 14MySQL (and/or MariaDB 5.7 - 10.x) 5.7 - 8.xAWS SCT, AWS DMS, AWS Aurora PostgreSQLAble to support PostgreSQL/MySQL/MariaDB in cloud environment (AWS, Azure or GCP)Experience with supporting a PostgreSQL/MySQL/Aurora AWS RDS environmentHomogenous and Heterogenous Migrations to PostgreSQLKnowledgeable in best practices for maintenance configurationsProduction experience with Installation, Configuration, Upgrades and PatchesAd hoc Index MaintenanceUser and Role ManagementPerformance tuning, query analyzationAble to troubleshoot problems with little or no assistanceProviding configuration, monitoring and on-call support for development, test, and production environmentsAble to assist clients with PostgreSQL/MySQL issues on the phone and via screen sharing software on the spotLinux and Microsoft Windows experience requiredMust communicate effectively both verbally and writtenMust be able to demonstrate ability to troubleshoot technical issues.On-call support and regularly scheduled off-hours production installationsAbility to export and import data from and to a PostgreSQL/MySQL databaseWilling to attain additional CertificationWilling to learn new skills that benefit the team and company when askedQualifications:

Bachelor's degree in MIS, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.3+ years of experience in a managed services environment.In-depth knowledge of PostgreSQL and MySQL architecture, configuration, and performance tuning.Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Perl for automation tasks.Experience with database replication, clustering, and high availability solutions.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex database issues efficiently.Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment or independently.PostgreSQL, MySQL, and/or MongoDB certification is a plus.DESIRED:
