DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW The Financial Aid and Scholarship Office (FASO) strives to deliver high quality service to students and their families.
JOB SUMMARY Uses professional financial services concepts to complete transactional tasks. Applies organization policies and procedures to resolve problems of moderate scope where analysis of data requires review of a variety of factors.
APPOINTMENT INFORMATION Budgeted Salary:
$30.56 - $36.28/Hour . Salary commensurate with skills, qualifications and experience.
Schedule Information: Full-time, Fixed Percentage of Time: 100%, 40 Hours per Week Days of the Week: Mon-Fri Shift Includes: Day
JOB DUTIES Applies professional financial and accounting concepts to independently perform analyses of moderately complex financial services. Assists with ensuring that financial processing functions are performed with accuracy. Under general supervision, researches and gathers information from a variety of sources. Functions as a resource to support staff on issues such as researching complex financial discrepancies. Assesses and recommends changes to maintain compliance with federal and state requirements. Conducts or assists with researching, developing, and implementing new and changing business processes.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training. Working knowledge of financial processes and financial services transactions. Strong knowledge of financial data management and reporting systems. Proficiency in the use of spreadsheet and database software. Strong interpersonal and effective communication skills. Experience reconciling financial transactions or records. Ability to adapt to changing priorities.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Skills to provide coaching and mentoring to support staff.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT Selected candidate will be required to pass a pre-employment criminal history background check. The selected candidate has the option to work a hybrid work schedule.
