The Senior Financial Analyst will work with the finance and accounting team, and corporate management teams, to facilitate decisions based on financial and operational information. This position requires advanced modeling capabilities and the ability to present financial data in a meaningful and concise format. The ability to work independently with little supervision is required as is the ability to communicate proficiently with all levels of Management in a highly visible fashion. The Senior Financial Analyst must be a self-starter with a strong work ethic, bring a positive and outgoing personality to the role, and be a reliable and collaborative team member.SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSAnalyze and explain revenue and spending variance to budget and forecast, with prioritization on key drivers, in a storytelling formatAdhere to the schedule of the monthly forecasting and reporting processAssess financial performance, analyzing variances and trends to determine root causes and the related impact on the CompanyProvide insightful analysis of financial data to identify key trends to support business decisions and drive value-added improvement initiativesDevelop program and project financial models to support customer proposals, project investment decisions, and the forecasting processDevelop financial performance views for programs and projects to support periodic operational status reviewsDrive the development of annual and multi-year planning models with ownership of supportive analysis and underlying assumptionsKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIESBachelor's degree or higher in Business (Finance preferred)Minimum 5 years' finance and accounting related experience, with at least 3 in FP&A roleHigh level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel and multi-dimensional databasesHighest level of integrity and ability to handle highly confidential informationDetail oriented, with ability to understand "big picture"Experience in preparing financial presentations, including explanationsAbility to work under pressure and manage multiple projects/deliverablesExcellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, including ability to communicate proficiently with all levels of Management.SPECIAL REQUIREMENTSIn supporting the Company and each Division, handle multiple inputs from corporate and division management teamsAbility to occasionally support calls/meetings outside of normal business hours due to significant timing offset of other time zonesOccasional long hours to support critical deadlinesBilingual in French and English is preferred for cross-functional work with our global offices.WORK REQUIREMENTSThe work environment characteristics are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the described job.
