The role involves bidding, planning, organizing, scheduling work, and evaluating cost-effectiveness. The ideal candidate should be goal-oriented, adaptable, and a team player. The selected team member will be responsible for nurturing both existing and new client relationships while also efficiently and accurately conducting detailed takeoff work. In addition, the Senior Estimator will be expected to respond to project advertisements for bidding or negotiation in line with company goals. This role will collaborate with Project Managers to ensure a seamless transition on awarded projects and during subcontract negotiations.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Analyze, compare, and interpret information including unspecified information to make concise and accurate judgements based on knowledge and experience to establish project timelines and budgets.Lead a team of estimators to estimate and prepare competitive bids, including soliciting subcontractor bids, distributing plans, and reviewing bids, with the ability to work independently or in a team depending on project complexity.Review blueprints, specifications, and proposals to estimate time, costs, and labor for new and renovation commercial construction projects or construction management services, utilizing specialized methodologies and techniques.Upon completion of the quantity surveys, compile a comprehensive project cost summary, encompassing labor, equipment, materials, subcontractors, taxes, insurance, markup, and any other pertinent expenses influencing the project, to prepare bid proposals for the client and key stakeholders.Demonstrate exceptional client and subcontractor relationship management throughout multiple, simultaneous short- and long-term projects while coordinating with others to execute work procedures.Prepare project budgets and assign cost codes to subcontract and purchase orders.Negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers and arrange subcontractor and purchase order agreements.Ensure consistent and close communication with vendors and subcontractors during the bidding process, addressing any scope-related inquiries.Communicate professionally and clearly both internally and externally with clients, departments, and external companies, such as suppliers, subcontractors, and other business partners, to collaborate effectively and achieve project objectives.QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree in Building Construction, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline is preferred for commercial construction projects.Minimum of 5 years prior experience in an Estimating position bidding projects ranging in value between $500k up to $50 million with varying complexity within the commercial construction industry, preferably a General Contractor within the state of Florida. Strong knowledge of Divisions 2 through 16, and quantity takeoff experience in Division 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 9, and 10.Conceptual estimating is preferred; ability to visualize and rely on experience to fill in gaps from schematic or conceptual drawings to construct a complete project.Advanced skills in Bluebeam Revu, with a strong emphasis on design, markup, quantity, and cost estimate bid takeoff tools. Proficiency (5+ years) in utilizing Sage Timberline estimating software is highly preferred, along with advanced proficiency in Pantera bid management or BuildingConnected software.Experience in collaborating with a variety of individuals and leading presentations with clients and architects to communicate project scope and cost estimates during the initial project phases is essential for this role.Strong level of judgment, integrity, flexibility, and credibility required.The role requires the ability to travel, including taking commercial flights, for development opportunities, bid meetings, or visits to construction jobsites for tasks like observing work and taking measurements.Drug-Free Workplace Program / Background Checks required.A valid state driver's license and driving history that meets company standards is required.R.
