Summary Descriptionnbkc bank is currently looking for a Deposit Operations Specialist

to join our Deposit Operations team.As a Deposit Operations Specialist , you'll manage tasks such as wire transfers, ACH, and Treasury services, while also overseeing daily reports and queues for mobile deposits, rejected items, insufficient funds, and chargebacks. You'll provide support to customer service teams, resolve account issues, handle disputes, investigate fraud, and manage tax corrections, while collaborating with the finance department to maintain smooth operations.This position will work @Flex (a combination of both in the office and at home)

location.What you’ll doPerform daily deposit operational functions, which can include Deposit Operations, Wire Transfers, ACH, and Treasury Services.Process daily operational reports and queues, to work: mobile deposits, deposit rejects, insufficient funds, orphan items, teller corrections, uncollected funds, recon items and charge backs.Partner with nbkc’s finance department to reconcile GL activity.Serve as support to the branches and customer service team for issues related to accounts, online banking, and debit cards.Assist in the set-up and opening of Debit Cards and Online Banking accounts.Process Debit Card and ACH disputes, as well as fraudulent investigations, while ensuring compliance with Reg E.Process and track Jumbo Certificate of Deposits (i.e. QwickRate) for the bank’s overall investment and liquidity portfolio.Oversee deposit tax corrections for all 1099-Ints, 1099-Misc forms, 1099-Rs for IRAs/HSAs, 5498’s for IRAs/HSAs, and 1098 Adjustments circulated from our Mortgage Division or Loan Department.Research and resolve problems in reference to customer inquiries, and in reference to Right to Financial Privacy files that can include summons, subpoenas, garnishments, levies, and verifications.Follow all applicable laws and regulations.Perform other duties and projects as assigned by the Operations Manager.What you’ll bringQualified candidates must have a High School Degree or GED2 years of cash handling/retail banking/customer service experience.Knowledge of retail products/services and bank regulations/compliance.Bonus PointsStrong organizational abilitiesStrong number orientation and accuracy with detail orientationExcellent verbal and written business communication skillsOur Hiring ProcessAfter we review your application and feel you’re a potential fit we will reach out with next steps.
