The GTRI Aerospace, Transportation and Advanced Systems Lab has opportunities for a software engineering position in support of DoD test/training range research and development. Responsibilities include visualization lead responsible for the design and implementation of user interfaces for DoD range training software and systems environments.Job Purpose
The Software Engineer designs, develops, and tests software applications and products. Responsibilities include managing software development teams, providing technical leadership, and establishing software development lifecycle practices and processes. Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, C, C++, C#, Ruby, Python, Scala, and Groovy is required.Key Responsibilities
Perform software development, debugging, modification, enhancement, and documentation.Design, test, and develop computer software to meet program requirements.Develop and maintain kernel and user-level software and scripts.Contribute to research reports, presentations, white papers, and competitive proposals.Create and analyze network protocols.Required Minimum Qualifications
2+ years professional experience in Software Development of C++/Java/C#.U.S. Citizenship Requirements
Due to our research contracts with the U.S. federal government, candidates for this position must be U.S. Citizens.Clearance Type Required
