Within established policies, procedures, and standards, performs supply and equipment inventory duties for the Catheterization Lab area.What You Bring

Education/Training:Graduation from a recognized school of medical imaging, plus two (2) years of recent related experience, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.Certified by the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT).Skills and Abilities:Effective communication skills both verbally and in writing.Proficiency in interpersonal skills for effective interaction with others.Capability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team.Physical capability to perform duties required for the position.What We Offer

In addition, St. Paul’s is the only hospital in BC to perform adult heart transplants and holds expertise in all forms of heart disease.Key Responsibilities

Performs diagnostic and interventional angiography procedures in the cardiac and vascular catheterization labs, cardiac procedure room and electrophysiology labs under the direction of Cardiologists.Performs daily start-up and quality control procedures of the cardiac and vascular imaging equipment including the Picture Archiving and Communications System (PACS) by following established procedures prior to the patient's arrival.Prepares the work area for each procedure by setting up accessory equipment such as contrast media injector, OCT, IVUS, FFR, and ICE, in conjunction with the Registered Nurse. Orientates equipment users to ensure proper operating and safety procedures.Communicates with patients, physicians and staff on topics such as explaining procedures, consent, allergies, etc.Inputs, updates and annotates patient and procedural data by entering patient ID, supplies utilized, image sequence and procedures performed into the digital imaging system.Ensures digital images and sequences acquired during procedures are properly transferred by checking the Picture Archiving and Communications System (PACS).Provides instruction regarding procedures, equipment and techniques to staff trainees, student technologists and other staff as required.Participates in the quality control of, and troubleshoots and reports any equipment malfunctions to Catheterization Laboratory Supervisor or service engineer.Within established policies, procedures and standards, and in consideration of slated procedures, performs supply and equipment inventory duties for the Catheterization Lab.Participates in staff meetings and assists with the updating of procedure manuals.Join Us and Transform Your Healthcare Career!Apply today to seize this unique opportunity to specialize and advance your career within a supportive and growth-oriented environment.
