1Northrop Grumman Space Systems – Launch and Missile Defense Systems has an exciting career opportunity for a Sr Principal Engineer Software - Global Integration SME (24-213) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be at Schriever Space Force Base, Colorado Springs, CO.Position Overview:The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program integrates the Missile Defense System. It is a vital operational system that enables the U.S. president, secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels to systematically plan ballistic missile defense operations, to see the battle develop collectively, and to dynamically manage designated networked sensors and weapons systems to achieve global and regional mission objectives.Essential Functions:Assisting software development personnel with investigating and resolving issues.Develop configurations to support tests and prototypes of developing systems.Creating and modifying scripts to analyze input, internal, and output message data.Troubleshooting both test and prototype issues.Develop troubleshooting procedures and work-around documents.Review and provide feedback on system specifications, development, test, and network documents as necessary, and represent the Integration team.Automating scripting to configure and maintain remote hosts.Working knowledge of virtualized environments and software testing.Experience in the integration of system components within a test environment.Previous experience as a SW Tester/Integrator.Basic Qualifications:An active Secret clearance is required to start with the ability to obtain TS clearance.9 years with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field; 13 years experience in lieu of a degree or 7 years with a Master's degree.Must possess a DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA)Must be extremely proficient in Linux scripting (bash, python).Must have a high-level understanding of automation and implementation.Hands-on experience with DoD integration processes, Agile and DevOps methodologies, and automated test tools is required.Highly proficient in troubleshooting methods.Must have strong software testing/engineering/integration experience.Preferred Qualifications:Active TS clearance is highly desired.Knowledge of Containerized Virtual Environments is highly preferred.Experience with Windows Server and PowerShell scripting is highly desirable.Experience setting up, configuring, and maintaining databases is desired.What We Can Offer You:Northrop Grumman provides a comprehensive benefits package and a work environment that encourages your growth and supports the mutual success of our people and our company.
