This position will be located out of Colorado Springs, CO.Position Overview:The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program integrates the Missile Defense System. It is a vital operational system that enables the U.S. president, secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels to systematically plan ballistic missile defense operations, to see the battle develop collectively, and to dynamically manage designated networked sensors and weapons systems to achieve global and regional mission objectives. C2BMC supports a layered missile defense capability that enables an optimized response to threats of all ranges in all phases of flight. C2BMC is the force multiplier globally and regionally. Networks integrate and synchronize autonomous sensor and weapon systems and operations to optimize performance. C2BMC is integral to all system ground and flight tests, which verify and exercise all current and future missile defense system capabilities.The candidate will provide technical support for assessing information systems' compliance with DoD RMF standards (review, verify, and validate required DoD IA RMF documentation and artifacts using DoDI 8510.01/DoD Risk Management Framework). The candidate must have proven experience developing Cyber-secure Network device configurations (Firewalls, switches, routers).Essential Functions:Security engineer with hands-on low-level experience and knowledge of security design, development, and testing methodologies.Must understand the OSI Model, TCP/IP, routing protocols BGP and OSPF.Proven network traffic analysis and diagnostic and troubleshooting experience.Must have firewall knowledge, such as Juniper firewalls and Cisco.Current and Active knowledge of UDP multicast, MSPP, VLANs, GRE Tunnels, and TCP/IP network designs.Hands-on experience with multi-vendor switching routing (Juniper), WAN optimizer, TACLANEs, and optical transport equipment - VMware server hardening, configuration, management, performance monitoring, and tuning of virtual machines ESXi servers.Experience creating VM deployment templates and automated deployments.Effective communicator with excellent writing and presentation skills using Microsoft PowerPoint and Visio drawing tools.Ability to collaborate in a team environment with other highly motivated network engineers and independently on large field projects.Must have knowledge using the Agile Framework or experience applying Agile fundamentals in engineer-focused work.Understanding of standard DOD security practices such as STIG compliance and system accreditation implementation efforts.Basic Qualifications:An active Secret clearance is required to start with the ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance.2 years with a Bachelor's degree in a related field; 6 years experience in lieu of a degree.Must possess a DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA)Must be able to travel to alternate work locations, such as Schriever Space Force Base.Preferred Qualifications:Active TS/SCI clearance is highly desired.RedHat knowledge is desired.A solid understanding of JUNOS is desired.Familiarization with virtualization is desired.Prior C2BMC experience is desired.What We Can Offer You:Northrop Grumman provides a comprehensive benefits package and a work environment that encourages your growth and supports the mutual success of our people and our company.
