Our team at Momentum Spine and Joint is looking to hire a

Full-Time Radiology Technologist

to join our team in

North Dallas, TX ! This candidate will be responsible for accurately positioning patients and ensuring that a quality diagnostic image is produced. Working closely with radiologists and physicians, this candidate will also operate X-ray and fluoroscopic equipment under the direction of the Medical Director.

Competitive hourly rate commensurate with experience starting at $30/HR

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 06:30 AM to 03:30 PM

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Set up and operate radiographic equipment used in the medical diagnosis and/or treatment of patients

Select proper ionizing factors for radiologic diagnosis

Position patients and set up and adjust equipment to obtain the best quality x-ray of the specific body area requested by the physician

Take preventative steps to minimize radiation exposure to the patient and fellow staff

Adjust and set radiographic controls, such as kilovoltage and milliamperage, to prescribed specifications for proper timing of exposure

Regulate the length and intensity of film exposure

Position and restrain patients; and take X-rays of patients' chest, limbs, or other body parts as requested by the physicians

Implement infection control procedures for the work area

Check X-ray for clarity of image, and retake X-rays when needed

Distribute films to appropriate medical staff and transfer images to electronic medical records (EMR)

Maintain quantity and quality control checks to assure X-ray unit meets standards required by laws, rules, and facility policy

Perform radiographic procedures for patients in surgery

Clean, maintain, and make minor adjustments to radiographic equipment, including determining repairs needed equipment

Protect patient and other personnel from radiation hazards

Maintain radiographic supplies, film, and equipment

Assure that all materials and other required equipment are present and in working order

Follow all safety rules on the job. Report all accidents promptly and correct minor safety hazards. Communicate with peers and management regarding any hazards identified in the workplace

Protect patient and family privacy rights and maintain confidentiality of patient records in accordance with policy and procedure and HIPAA requirements

Adhere to the company standards of business conduct

Perform other duties as assigned as per discretion of medical provider and facility

EDUCATION:

High School diploma or equivalent

Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology or Associates Degree in Radiology Studies

Licensed by the Medical State Board of Texas as a Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT)

Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
