Townsen Memorial Surgery Center
is looking for a
full-time Radiology Technologist
for our
Med Center
facility in
Houston, TX . This candidate will be responsible for accurately positioning patients and ensuring that a quality diagnostic image is produced. Working closely with radiologists and physicians, this candidate will also operate X-ray and fluoroscopic equipment under the direction of the physician.
REQUIREMENTS:
Set up and operate radiographic equipment used in the medical diagnosis and/or treatment of patients.
Select proper ionizing factors for radiologic diagnosis.
Position patients and set up and adjust equipment to obtain the best quality X-ray of the specific body area requested by the physician.
Implement infection control procedures for the work area.
Maintain sterile field and implement best practices while in the operating room.
Check X-ray for clarity of image, and retake X-rays when needed.
Maintain quantity and quality control checks to assure X-ray unit meets standards required by laws, rules, and facility policy.
Perform radiographic procedures for patients in surgery.
Clean, maintain, and make minor adjustments to radiographic equipment, including determining repairs needed on equipment.
Assure that all materials and other required equipment are present and in working order.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Our hospital is subject to the CMS vaccine mandate. You must be fully vaccinated before you may begin employment with us. While our company currently does not have a vaccine mandate, we're obligated to enforce any applicable mandates under federal law.
Graduate of an accredited School of Radiology.
ARRT/TMB licenses.
Ortho/Spine Experience (Preferred).
Ability to lift and position patients for the type of X-ray procedure required.
Ability to clean, maintain, and make minor adjustments to equipment.
