Facilities Chief Engineer
for a client managing a high-profile property. This hands-on role is ideal for a professional with expertise in building maintenance, HVAC systems, and life safety, who can lead a team and ensure smooth building operations.Position Overview:As the Facilities Chief Engineer, you will oversee the maintenance, inspection, and troubleshooting of building equipment and systems. You will lead a team in performing preventative and unscheduled maintenance, ensuring that the facility runs efficiently and adheres to safety regulations.Key Responsibilities:Operate and maintain life safety and HVAC control systems.Perform regular inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs of building equipment.Manage the preventative maintenance program and respond to service requests.Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective resource sharing.Ensure compliance with safety and environmental protocols, including OSHA and lockout/tag-out procedures.Provide leadership in addressing maintenance needs, escalating complex issues as necessary.Participate in plant maintenance training and emergency response efforts.Lead and develop your team while meeting the facility’s operational and safety standards.Requirements:High School Diploma or equivalent.5+ years of experience in plant operations, life safety, utilities, and equipment management.5+ years of supervisory experience.HVAC certification and a valid driver’s license.Proficiency with computer software programs.Ability to work independently and manage emergencies as part of an on-call rotation.Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work in a diverse environment.Why Join Us?
