Chief Financial OfficerYour role in the mission:Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the Vice President of Finance (VP) will be an integral part of the company’s strategic and operational leadership, with responsibility for a high-performance financial operation in a fast-paced start-up environment.You will be responsible for strategic planning, leading the financial planning & analysis function, accounting and controls, treasury, and tax strategy. The VP of Finance will be a key spearhead in expanding the company’s finance team and key functions to support the scaling of the business. The successful candidate will serve as a trusted partner to the CFO and broader leadership team in all aspects of the company’s business and will help lead the refinement of the company’s strategy and execution plans.Lead the construction of annual operating plans through a cross-functional process to anticipate and forecast resource needs, including staffing, facilities, and CapEx.Lead the financial planning and analysis function, providing critical financial insights and strategic recommendations to the C-Suite team.Take ownership of business performance by building out revenue and cash flow models and ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic global objectives.Determine the ongoing financing needs of the company through regularly forecasting cash runway and potential risks, and in turn, developing countermeasures.Support updates to the company’s strategic plan so that they uphold the initiatives of the company and serve as a playbook for the growth of the business.Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks, including credit, market, and operational risks.Provide financial and business decision leadership support for both ongoing business and the development of new opportunities, including leading monthly business reviews.Implement best practices to develop relevant business infrastructure and systems for scaling the company through continued growth.Oversee all aspects of accounting operations, including the management and coordination of all fiscal reporting activities.What you’ll need:15+ years of financial leadership experience, ideally with some time spent within private capital-backed companies or newly minted public enterprises.Industry experience gained in the cleantech sector or adjacent energy markets would be desirable.Successful track record of developing financial infrastructure in a fast-paced, high growth or start-up environment.Experience within a government contracting environment is desirable.Proven experience of financial leadership in a global business environment.Proven track record of driving process improvements and managing the FP&A function in a fast-paced start-up environment.Emotionally intelligent leader that helps build a high-performing, motivated team with a collaborative culture.Be a leader who is well-organized and disciplined in their approach to work, with excellent project management skills.A team-based thought leader, with critical thinking and analytical skills.The ability to clearly articulate strategy and vision, align people and processes, and drive execution to achieve desired results.Entrepreneurial leader who is results-oriented and resourceful.Experience in investor relations is also desirable.We offer:In addition to a basic salary and yearly bonus, you will also get:Stock and share optionsRelocation allowanceInsurance plans401k retirement optionsAnd many more great voluntary benefitsEmbrace the mission by submitting your application on our careers page, then head over to our
