As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer and Community Banking division, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way.As a Lead Software Engineer, you play a crucial role in focusing on the enhancement, construction, and delivery of trusted, top-tier technology products. As a fundamental technical contributor, you are tasked with implementing critical technology solutions across numerous technical areas within various business functions, all in support of the firm's business objectives.Job ResponsibilitiesExecutes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with the ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches.Develops secure high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others.Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems.Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs and technical credentials.Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies.Adds to team culture of equity and respect.Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and SkillsFormal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.Proficiency in Object Oriented programming with hands-on experience in Java and Springboot.Proficiency with Front End technologies like ReactJS, JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, CSS3.Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods.Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle.Experience working on public cloud.Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Applicant Resiliency, and Security.Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline.In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems.Additional Qualifications, Capabilities, and SkillsPublic Cloud experience, preferably AWS.Infrastructure as Code tools, preferably Terraform.Distributed systems design experience either in building on-prem or public cloud solutions.Engineering mindset with an ability to solve medium to complex cloud and enterprise integration problems.ABOUT USChase is a leading financial services firm, helping nearly half of America’s households and small businesses achieve their financial goals through a broad range of financial products.
