NYFS is actively recruiting a Community Services Manager with a bachelor’s degree in social work or related field, preferably located out of our Shoreview, MN location. To apply, please email your resume and cover letter to HumanResources@nyfs.org.Leadership Responsibilities:Provide leadership and mentoring to a team of direct client providers (4 FTEs) across community services programming, developing and maintaining a strong team culture in alignment with organizational values.Oversee hiring, training, and performance management of team members.Actively engage on the leadership team, using effective communication and strategic decision-making to move the organization forward in achieving its mission and vision.Facilitate ongoing program development across the department to ensure quality service delivery and compliance with legislative requirements.Commitment to continuous learning with understanding of current industry trends and challenges, integrating this information into innovative client delivery.Engage in community-based outreach to represent NYFS and deepen the community’s understanding of our service offerings, participating in coalitions and committees related to service areas.Build and maintain collaborative relationships with referral partners.Develop, maintain, and oversee the community services budget, including grant oversight and quarterly reporting.Plan and facilitate team meetings, monthly team consults, and biannual team retreats.Commitment to program evaluation and ongoing data-driven program development.Client Care Responsibilities:Provide trauma-informed, culturally responsive, community-based services to clients within the Youth Diversion and Community Connections Programs.Facilitate seminars for youth and caregivers focused on positive decision-making and accountability.Facilitate community connections groups with youth and caregivers centered around healthy life skills, career development, community resourcing, and positive connections.Collaborate with community providers to facilitate outreach, referrals, and programming.Complete timely documentation and tracking in accordance with NYFS policies.Some evening availability is required.Required Qualifications:Expertise in domestic violence/sexual assault advocacy and programming.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field.1-3 years of leadership experience, focusing on mentoring and empowering team members.Solid understanding of and sensitivity to cultural and socioeconomic differences among service populations.Proficiency in Microsoft Office.Ability to collect and analyze program data.Must have a valid driver’s license and personal means of transportation.Preferred Qualifications:Speaks Spanish, Hmong, Karen, or Somali.Master’s degree in social work or related field.3-5 years of leadership experience, focusing on mentoring and empowering team members.Demonstrated ability to maintain strong partnerships with law enforcement or other county entities.Experience with Procentive.Strong candidates will have a solid understanding of their own culture and practice sensitivity and respect for the cultural backgrounds of clients and staff.
