Consistent and accurate glucose monitoring is the foundation of any diabetes management plan, so we’re committed to continuous improvement in the way patients and professionals measure, track, and analyze glucose levels.As Finance Manager, you will provide support and partnership for Global Finance, Commercial, and Strategic Marketing teams with particular focus on margin and expense forecasting for Plan, rLBE, OEM processes. You will coordinate with Division HQ to meet requirements and deadlines for the team. Management & enhancement of analytics to support understanding of submissions is required. The position requires strong people management, analytical, prioritization, and presentation skills as well as a focus on process & identifying areas of efficiency.

This is an onsite opportunity in Alameda, CA.What You'll DoStrengthen processes to help develop global expense and margin forecasts for Plan, rLBE, OEM & RCEs.Ensure completeness and accuracy of financial submissions.Interpret financial results & recommend options based upon analysis of data & information.Contribute to the strategic planning process by partnering and providing financial support to non-financial stakeholders.Identify meaningful analytics including trend analyses, which can be gleaned from rLBE submissions; present these findings to Global Commercial senior leadership to aid strategic decision making and agree upon the storyline of the submission.Prepare LBE deck, working with stakeholders to prepare a presentation to senior management. Focus on simplifying submissions to make slides concise & executive-ready.Manage and develop two members of staff.Operate with a significant amount of autonomy, focus on delegation to staff to aid their development, and proactively navigate the division network to accomplish goals/tasks.Handle ad hoc requests from management (Division & Corporate functions including Tax, Treasury, Audit, Investor Relations, etc.).Ensure adherence to Abbott accounting policies and procedures (CFMs) and Sarbanes Oxley requirements.Education and Experience You'll BringRequiredBachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.Minimum 8 years of Finance and supervisory experience (FP&A, Cost/General Accounting, and Financial Reporting).Ability to plan, implement and administer financial information and control systems.Knowledge of the principles, processes, and standards for integrated financial analysis and reporting.PreferredBA, CPA/CMA preferred.Apply Now* Participants who complete a short wellness assessment qualify for FREE coverage in our HIP PPO medical plan.
