This role is considered Hybrid.OverviewThe Manager of R&D Communications is a science writer who crafts short- and long-form content to advance Alnylam's reputation as

the

leader in RNAi interference therapeutics. This role will be responsible for shaping social media posts, profiles, feature stories, video scripts, PowerPoint presentations, fact sheets, Q&As, and other materials that convey the power and promise of our innovative platform and pipeline for a variety of audiences, including scientists and the science-curious public. The successful candidate will be a storyteller at heart who is able to understand and translate complex science into clear and concise copy that engages key audiences. As part of the Investor Relations & Corporate Communications team, reporting to the Director of R&D Communications, this role will collaborate closely with the team as well as with scientists in a fast-paced environment to conceptualize and bring to life content that educates, entertains and inspires audiences.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop short- and long-form content that delivers key messages about Alnylam's therapeutic platform and pipeline while entertaining and inspiring audiences.Collaborate with company researchers-including senior leaders in R&D-to translate science for a variety of audiences, including the science-curious public.Collaborate with internal corporate branding and creative teams and agency partners to iteratively shape content, including multimedia; embrace a "test and learn" mindset to optimize materials for target audiences.Propose and produce content series to advance Alnylam's reputation as

the

leader in RNAi therapeutics.Draft Q&As and other materials in support of pipeline milestone communications.QualificationsBachelor's degree in related field required.Minimum of 5 years of experience required, preferably in a journalism or communications role.Exceptional writing and editing skills (clips are required); strong oral communications skills and ability to convey complex science for a variety of audiences.Experience collaboratively shaping multimedia content such as videos and podcasts.Ability to deliver products that engage, excite, and motivate audiences.Ability to work independently and use sound judgment in decision-making, including setting and managing priorities and meeting competing deadlines.Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.Comfortable with accepting feedback and adapting to deliver the desired product.Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to high quality and timely work product.About Alnylam:
