The Lead Cloud Engineer is primarily responsible for being a technical lead with hands-on experience while possessing a high standard of excellence, solid written and verbal communication skills, strong customer focus, and capable of technical deep dives into services and technologies. Responsibilities will include governance, support, and the integration and growth of our Cloud infrastructure. Additional responsibilities include architecting, planning, specifying, and building new solutions. This role includes implementing, planning, risk management, and collaboration with technical and engineering teams to further improve our systems stability and minimize solution downtime impact.Key Responsibilities
Provision and monitor staging/production cloud servicesDeploy, maintain, and troubleshoot cloud servicesApply OS, application, and hardware updates/patchesMonitor and maintain backups and recovery operations/servicesImplement and manage virtual networkingCreate and configure a Network Security GroupMonitor and troubleshoot virtual networkingIntegrate on-premises network with Azure virtual networkWork in rotational shifts as we are a 24/7 support teamManage Application deployments in the cloudQualification Requirements
Must be a US Citizen or Green Card HolderMust be located (or willing to relocate to) the metro Atlanta areaTotal of 7+ years of experience in cloud administrationHands-on experience with either AWS or Azure Architecture on services like computing, storage, databases, network, application integration, monitoring & alerting, Identity & Access ManagementKnowledge of Web Servers, Windows/Linux Services/OS SecurityExperience in topics such as network protocols TCP, DNS, DHCP, SSL, VPNExperience with Virtualization & Windows/Linux administrationKnowledge of Active Directory administration / Azure AADUnderstanding of Cloud Storage / Storage security / IAMCertifications: Azure Administrator / AWS Associate Solution ArchitectFamiliar with Azure services such as Load Balancers, application gateways, Scale Sets, CRR, Azure vaults, AKSFamiliar with IaC (Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, PowerShell, etc.) (Desired)Nice to have
