Cloud Security Engineer

Key Role:Manage, administer, support, and enhance cloud environments, ensuring continuous improvement and rapid problem resolution. Apply specific functional, working and general industry knowledge. Develop or contribute to solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Work independently with some guidance. May review or guide activities of more junior employees.Basic Qualifications:Experience with configuring cloud administrative environments and tools for Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft AzureExperience designing, configuring, and maintaining security configurationsExperience writing playbooks and scripts for automation tools including Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Configuration as Code (CaC)Experience with system performance tuning and monitoring using tools such as Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, Beats, Grafana, or PrometheusSecret clearanceHS diploma or GEDAdditional Qualifications:Experience with scripting in Bash or PythonExperience deploying and maintaining applications, appliances, or machines aligned to DoD Security Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIG) and Security Requirements Guides (SRG)Knowledge of cybersecurity concepts, including threats, vulnerabilities, security operations, encryption, boundary defense, auditing, authentication, and supply chain risk managementBachelor's degreeDoD 8570 IAT II Compliance Certification such as Security+, CCNA Security, GSEC, or related CertificationClearance:Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.Compensation:At Booz Allen, we celebrate your contributions, provide you with opportunities and choices, and support your total well-being. The projected compensation range for this position is $96,600.00 to $220,000.00 (annualized USD).
