We are looking for a
Cybersecurity Specialist
to join our team to work closely with our system and network administrators to ensure that cyber security projects meet objectives across our organization. They are responsible for various tasks, including process re-engineering and documentation of activities related to this area. This position will be hybrid remote.What you will do:Assist in detecting vulnerabilities in our networks and infrastructure and be knowledgeable in the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) process.Design and perform various security vulnerability assessments.Review and validate client-based security questionnaires.Ensure corporate policy compliance.Assess how risks could be mitigated to provide organizations with more confidence about system stability.Work closely with our System and Network Administrators to ensure the security of our business information, employee data, and client information throughout our entire network.Determine security violations and inefficiencies by conducting periodic audits.Upgrade endpoint security applications.Implement and maintain security controls.Assist with identifying and solving potential and actual security problems.Assess the current situation, evaluating trends and anticipating security requirements.Inform users by preparing performance reports and communicating system status.Maintain quality service by following organization standards.Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops.Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.What you will need:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education or work experience.Proven work experience as a Cyber Security Specialist or similar role.Experience analyzing high volumes of logs, network data, and other attack artifacts.Familiarity with the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) cybersecurity framework.Experience with vulnerability scanning solutions.Proficiency with antivirus and security software.Basic understanding of TCP/IP, common networking ports and protocols, traffic flow, and other common security elements.Security certification is a plus.Fortinet Security Devices and Virtual Environments are a plus.What We Offer:401k with Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP)Low deductible health coverage for you and your family through Medical, Dental, and Vision plansGenerous paid-time-off policyProfessional DevelopmentHealthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending AccountsEmployee wellness programEA Engineering, Science, and Technology, Inc., PBC
