We have an exciting opportunity for a
Systems Integrator
to join our JETS II contract team at
NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX .
** We are actively searching for qualified candidates for this potential opening; however, we do not have assurance at this time when the position will be finalized and opened. Because we have strong reason to believe the position will be approved soon, we are proceeding with identifying qualified candidates and conducting interviews. **
If selected you will:
Understand complex systems, particularly interfaces and interdependencies
Be able to apply model-based systems engineering best practices to developing models of systems Experienced developing interface control documents
Be experienced with software development and architectures Experienced with autonomous systems
Perform other duties as required
Qualifications:
This position has been posted at multiple levels. Depending on the candidate's experience, requirements, and business needs, we reserve the right to consider candidates at any level for which this position has been advertised.
Typically requires a bachelor's degree in engineering and a minimum of 2- 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Experience with software verification and validation processes Experience with complex distributed systems
Experience with developing software using C/C++ in a Linux environment Experience with requirements management tools such as DOORS NG Experience with web-based collaboration tools
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with tools such as, Confluence, Gitlab, JIRA, MS Teams, Slack, Sharepoint Strong evidence of success in highly collaborative projects/environments
Ability to succeed in fast-paced environments
Must be flexible, open to new challenges in a dynamic environment
Possess strong technical expertise combined with verbal and written communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities with little supervision
Must be a highly responsible, team-oriented individual with strong work ethic Must have highly developed coordination and organization skills
Excellent communicator, particularly written communication and visual diagram creation Scripting languages such as Python
Agile software development
NASA software and systems development standards
NASA Gateway Spacecraft systems and software including the Core Flight System (CFS)software infrastructure
