This individual should have experience managing custom build software applications and/or tools in monitoring the health of hardware systems, capacity management, OS management, and patch management for large enterprises.This is not a technical hands-on role. However, prior experience is required to develop a detailed work plan to ensure our success.

Responsibilities

Confer with system/product stakeholders to gather, document and keep up-to-date system/product requirements.Participate in design meetings with engineering team to create project plans and ensure proper translation of requirements into software development user stories.Maintain project timeline and manage development progress.Manage firmware/software development tasks, using agile/scrum methodology, keeping all tasks and work items current in Jira.Create cards/stories in Jira describing development tasks and bug fixes.Ensure timelines and cost targets are met.Manage risks and mitigation plan for all aspects of the project. Keep management informed of any critical risks to timeline, cost, staff, technical or other risks.Liaison with cross-functional departments and project team(s) to ensure external dependencies don’t delay engineering projects.Assign, direct, and evaluate tasks to team members.Track and report project KPIs to Engineering Manager and customer stakeholders.Drive daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly meetings with appropriate customer stakeholders.Recommend upgrades and new systems that will be beneficial for the project.Supervise IT staff, consultants, vendors and suppliers.Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information technology along with 7+ years of experience or equivalent industry experience.Excellent knowledge of all aspects of information technology specifically with complex infrastructure environments.Expert hands-on knowledge of building a critical path and understanding the right questions to ask.Command of the Schedule, Scope, Budget, Quality and Benefits always in the life cycle of the project.Excellent analytical and observation skills.Good communication and negotiation skills.Excellent planning and organization ability.Excellent time management skills and understanding the value of a baseline.Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.Excellent management and leadership qualities.Experience managing onsite/offshore development team(s).
