Network Administrator

DMV area.

If you are looking for an opportunity in any of those locations, we encourage you to apply.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:The Network Administrator maintains connectivity for enterprise network assets to ensure compliance and secure operations on both unclassified and classified networks (SIPR, NIPR, JWICS). They collaborate with stakeholders to address connectivity requirements and implement necessary configurations to facilitate efficient and secure data transmission.They ensure all network switches and routers are operational, properly configured, and compliant with security requirements (such as DISA STIG).They perform regular maintenance, updates, and troubleshooting of network devices to ensure optimal performance and are responsible for configuring, maintenance, and monitoring of firewall, intrusion protection, and intrusion detection systems; and for network access control and authentication in accordance with ATO requirements, cybersecurity policies, and standards.They implement necessary security measures to protect specialized systems and networks from unauthorized access and cyber threats.They support the planning and implementation of enterprise service connections among networks, systems, and applications across domains and facilitate connections for auditing, authentication, secure cloud computing architecture (SCCA), and Cross Domain Solutions and Guards, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.They collaborate with ISSOs and stakeholders in the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process.The Network Administrator is a journeyman role with experience in network access and connectivity. The Network Administrator takes direction from more senior personnel.Basic Qualifications:High School and 4 years of additional experience or Associate's Degree and 2 years of additional experience may be exchanged in lieu of a required Bachelor's degree.A candidate holding a relevant Master’s degree may be granted 2 years’ experience credit for that extra education. A candidate holding a relevant PhD degree may be granted 4 years’ experience credit for that extra education.2 years of position-specific relevant experience. Bachelor's degree in an IT-related discipline. DoD 8570.01-m IAT Level-II Certification within 6 months of commencing work on the Task Order.Preferred Qualifications:Relevant industry standard certifications such as Comptia Network+, Cisco/Juniper, or AWS Advanced Networking.Clearance Requirements:Must be a US Citizen.Must have an active TS/SCI clearance.Physical Requirements:The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.Secure our Nation, Ignite your Future
