This position will work directly with and report to the corporate manager of Benefits Reporting in our Corporate office, Falls Church, Virginia. The Benefits Reporting group is responsible for leading the company's benefit plan financial reporting process including the preparation of Northrop Grumman's 11-K savings plan filings for submission to the SEC as well as our various pension and health and welfare plan filings with the DOL. This role requires coordination with multiple stakeholders, strong analytical and communication skills, and a strong proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of tools. We are looking for an individual that is proactive and can provide process improvements to maximize efficiencies in financial reporting.Job Responsibilities:

Prepare financial statements for various Savings, Pension, and Health and Welfare plansPrepare trial balances and footnote supportPerform analytical reviews of benefit plan's financial statementsCompile data to support the preparation of the Form 5500sProvide audit support and fulfill audit requestsParticipate in internal and external kick-off meetings and status meetingsReconcile general ledger data to trust reports to help maintain the validity, completeness, and accuracy of the dataProvide support and analysis for overhead claims submissionPerform trust related accounting functions as neededSupport trust budget preparation and perform budget analysisComplete ad hoc projects or data requestsMinimum Qualifications:

Principal Financial Analyst:Bachelor's degree in accounting and 6 years of relevant work experienceSenior Principal Financial Analyst:Bachelor's degree in accounting and 10 years of relevant work experienceIn meeting the experience requirements above:Master's degree or CPA may count for 2 years of experienceMaster's degree and CPA may count for a total of 3 years of experiencePublic accounting experience may count for up to an additional year of experience for each year of relevant experiencePreferred Qualifications:

Recent public accounting firm audit experienceCertified Public AccountantKnowledge of SAP accounting system of recordKnowledge of Workiva financial reporting systemSalary Range:

$88,700 - $133,100$109,900 - $164,900The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
