Grant and Contract OfficerOffice of Sponsored Programs (OSP)Who We AreResearch and Innovation (RI), led by the Vice President for Research and Innovation (VPRI), enables and advances the University's research priorities as well as the research activities of Cornell colleges, schools, and research centers, institutes, and laboratories.The Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) oversees the administration of sponsored programs at Cornell University including sponsored research, instruction, and extension. GCOs in OSP are authorized to sign and submit proposals to sponsors and negotiate and sign awards, contracts, and agreements for Cornell sponsored projects.What You Will DoServe as a member of the Office of Sponsored Programs, providing sponsored proposal and award administration services, expertise, and guidance. Responsibilities include:Representing the university and Principal Investigators (PIs) to sponsors in proposal submission, grant negotiation, and acceptance.Reviewing and approving proposals and standard agreements.Supporting and/or leading contract negotiations in accordance with institutional policies.Processing post-award actions including budget revisions and no-cost extensions.Facilitating communication between PIs and administrative offices.Keeping abreast of existing and emerging sponsor regulations and policies.Contributing to the development of customer communications, services, and training.This is a 1-year term position with the possibility of extension based on additional funding.What We NeedWe ask you to submit a cover letter and resume outlining your interest in this position and explaining how your experience and qualifications match the position requirements.
