Job Overview:
We are looking for a Principal Software Engineer with extensive experience in full-stack JavaScript development, including React and Angular, as well as proficiency in Golang, Java, and SQL. The ideal candidate will have a strong architectural mindset and the ability to design and implement scalable, robust solutions. This role is pivotal in driving the evolution of our platform, contributing to both front-end and back-end development, and ensuring seamless integration across our technology stack.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, scalable software solutions using React, Angular, Golang, and Java.
Assist in the architectural design and implementation of new features and enhancements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
Mentor and guide junior engineers, promoting best practices and continuous improvement.
Conduct code reviews, ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices.
Troubleshoot and debug complex issues across the stack.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our solutions remain competitive.
Participate in the migration of our platform from Angular to React, focusing on a mobile-first approach and atomic design principles.
Contribute to server-side rendering and performance optimization initiatives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
Strong expertise in full-stack JavaScript development, with experience in React and Angular.
Proficiency in Java, with a solid understanding of the ecosystem and best practices.
Proven experience in software architecture and design, particularly in large-scale, high-traffic applications.
Familiarity with modern development practices, including CI/CD, automated testing, and DevOps principles.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
Experience developing in GO with understanding of the ecosystem and best practices is a bonus.
Prior experience in the hospitality or airline industry is a bonus.
