Day-to-day running of the lab to include:Make sure that the inventory of consumables and other materials are up to date.Make sure that the booth computers and the data collection software is working and up to date.Make sure the consumer database is current and also continue recruiting new panelists.Help the PI when new work contracts are being negotiated.Consumer and sensory test administration to include:Preparing the screening questionnaire on Qualtrics, recruiting and scheduling the panelists for consumer tests.Create ballots/questionnaire on the data collection software, and administer the ballot to the panelists on the test day.Prepare samples and serve the samples to panelists on the test days.Clean and prepare the booth for each session.Position Information

This is a part-time temporary position assisting with food sensory analysis studies associated with research and industry contract projects. The main responsibility is setting up consumer and sensory testing of foods associated with research and contract work, and maintaining the lab space properly.Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies
Knowledge associated with conducting consumer taste tests.Computer savviness; the job uses two software that are used for recruiting participants and collecting data during the test sessions. The supervisor will train the new hire to use both the software.Computer skills with adequate knowledge of MS Word and Excel.Physical Demands
During the tests, have to walk and bend to serve samples. Might have to stand on your feet for periods of time during the test. Standing might be involved during sample preparations as well.Contact Information
