Conduct comprehensive diagnostic hearing evaluations including TYMPs, OAEs for pediatrics through geriatrics. Cochlear implant evaluations, mapping and troubleshooting Amplification assessment, hearing aid fitting, dispensing follow-up care, and counseling. Mentor and supervise Audiology doctoral students.II. Position Qualifications:
License/Certification/Education:Required:Master's or Doctorate Degree in Audiology from an accredited institution of higher learning.Massachusetts' Audiologist license.Attainment of the Certificate of Clinical Competence within six months of date of hire.Experience/Skills:Required:Thorough knowledge of the discipline of Audiology.Demonstrated skill in analyzing problems and making decisions.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work cooperatively with all members of the healthcare team.Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.Preferred:Minimum of 1 year Audiology experience.Unless certification, licensure, or registration is required, an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed in this description may be substituted for the above requirements.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or protected veteran status.We're striving to make respect a part of everything we do at UMass Memorial Health - for our patients, our community, and each other.
