This position is located in the Department of Health and Human Services, Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, headquartered in Rockville, Maryland.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Basic Qualifications:

Must have experience that provided:Knowledge of organizational, operational, and programmatic concepts and practices applied by public, private, or nonprofit agencies and organizations engaged in public health or other health-related activities.Knowledge of the methods, processes, and techniques used to develop and deliver public health or health-related programs in State and local settings.Knowledge of a specialized public health program.Knowledge of, and skill in, the application of administrative or analytical methods and techniques necessary for working within the framework of a public health or related organization and carrying out specific program functions.Skill in oral and written communication, gathering and conveying information, making oral presentations, and preparing reports, correspondence, and other written materials.

-AND-Specialized Experience:

In addition to the basic qualification requirement above, you must have one-year specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service performing ALL of the following:

Assist in providing public health technical assistance programs in collaboration with local, state, public, private, other Federal and/or international governments/organizations.Planning, implementing, and/or presenting training systems for the prevention workforce, health practitioners, researchers, and other professionals.Conducting and/or developing public health training courses (e.g., community planning, prevention and intervention, outreach strategies, data collection).Documenting experience:
