As a Senior BIM Specialist, you will be responsible for providing building information modeling (BIM) services for Company projects and assisting in the development of fully constructible 3D models and detailed construction documents as necessary to support field electricians with challenging electrical installations. The Senior BIM Specialist plays a key role in collaborating with project managers and other internal and external team members that involves project planning as required for each specific project.Our Ideal Candidate:Has a growth mindset and is always looking to continually learn and grow.Is detail oriented and has strong organizational skills.Can work independently and meet deadlines with minimal oversight.Day in the life:Executes and tracks daily work plans. Provides recommendations for changes to improve standards and procedures, as necessary. Provides technical support to project managers, field personnel, estimators, and customers.Works closely with design teams while applying detailed attention to modeling, clashing and annotating sheets.Produces constructable 3D model content and detailed electrical construction installation documents.Develops conceptual designs, sketches, or value engineering ideas to help project managers or estimators prepare estimates.Consults with vendors and reviews project shop drawings for design accuracy and contract requirements.Attends BIM coordination meetings and maintains appropriate communications with all appropriate parties as needed.Develops a high level of understanding in the installation of electrical systems, the National Electrical Code, and other building codes.Minimum Qualifications:Associate degree or equivalent work experience in building information modeling (BIM) trade school, engineering, or a related field.Minimum 3-4 years of BIM modeling experience.Proficiency in using Autodesk, Revit, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office software.Skills to read, interpret and understand electrical contracts, plans, drawings, and specifications.Basic project management experience and skills.A strong desire to learn more about electrical design and construction.Travel:
