Andover, MassachusettsThe Role:Andover Eye Associates is seeking a talented, energetic, and highly engaged Optometrist. This position will take a leading role in patient care and collaborate closely with ophthalmologists at the practice. The main responsibilities entail performing exams on patients and co-managing patient care.What You’ll Do:Perform comprehensive routine exams and refractions which may include contact lens fitting, evaluations, and renewals.Perform general screening eye exams for diseases such as diabetic eye disease, age-related macular degeneration, glaucoma, dry eye, blepharitis, allergy, and meibomian gland dysfunction.Co-manage care with ophthalmologists as needed (general, cornea, retina, glaucoma, and ocular plastic specialists).Be active in specific screenings for dry eye, blepharitis, allergy, and AMD patients.Manage emergency exams as needed.Other medical management may be required.What We Look For:Experience needed for the Role:

Doctor of Optometry (OD) from an accredited optometry school.Valid Massachusetts optometry license.

Additional Skills and Attributes:

Prior experience in either pediatric exam or low vision exam.Must be able to thrive in a high-volume practice (1 patient every 20 minutes with 1 tech support).Performing eye exams in Spanish is a plus.Knowledge of the intricacies of vision plans preferred.
