They assist with the supervision of the clinical staff and are expected to maintain effective working relationships with each member. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:Conducting eye exams and care, which includes annual exams and new patient workupChecking for diabetes, glaucoma, macular degeneration and red eye visionInterpreting prescriptions and assisting patients in selecting appropriate eyewearInstructing patients on how to clean and handle eyewearReviewing cases from outside referring doctorsSupervising and training clinical staff as requiredEnsuring the exam rooms are stocked and maintainedExperience
One year of experience preferredLicense/Certification
Current California Optometric License
