Wolf Lake Services is seeking a highly qualified professional to join our team in support of the US Coast Guard (USCG) Multidiscipline Healthcare Services. The primary focus of this position is to provide medical services to all eligible beneficiaries within the capabilities normally granted to a Medical Technologist/Clinical Laboratory Scientist (MT/CLS). The MT/CLS shall meet or exceed the industry standards in accordance with established principles, practices, and ethics and shall reflect the degree and care, skill and learning expected of a reasonably prudent healthcare provider in the MT/CLS profession in the state of their practice.

Core Duties:
Perform laboratory testing and evaluation including interpretation of tests in the areas of:HematologyUrinalysisOther Clinic Laboratory Improvement Amendment (CLIA) Waived TestsPerform evaluation and interpretation of tests in the areas of:BacteriologyChemistrySpecial ChemistryBlood BankSerologyEnsure the establishment and maintenance of acceptable levels of analytical performance for each test systemFulfill the duties of a laboratory technical consultant for a moderately-complex laboratory as defined by CLIAPrepare, manage, and submit appropriate documentation testing related to CLIAImplement policies and procedures for monitoring individuals who conduct preanalytical, analytical, and postanalytical phases of testing to assure that they are competent and maintain their competency to process specimens, perform test procedures and report test results promptly and proficiently, and whenever necessary, identify needs for remedial training or continuing education to improve skillsMaintain inventory, order, and restock medical laboratory suppliesProvide immediate evaluation and management of emergent problems as they occurPrepare and submit appropriate documentation as specified in applicable regulationsParticipate in the Quality Improvement (QI) program of the clinicOther administrative duties as may be assigned by the Clinic Administrator
