The Dean of Students Office at UC Santa Cruz promotes personal development and successful navigation of campus life thereby strengthening the student experience.JOB SUMMARYUnder the general direction of the Associate Director of Slug Support, the Slug Support Case Manager serves as the nexus of information and integration for the campus's response to students experiencing varying degrees of need and/or distress. The incumbent is readily accessible to faculty, staff, students, parents and family members who are concerned about a distressed student.APPOINTMENT INFORMATIONBudgeted Salary:

$70,000 - $75,000 / Annually.Benefits Level Eligibility:

Full benefitsSchedule Information:Full-time, FixedPercentage of Time: 100%, 40 Hours per WeekDays of the Week: Mon-FriShift Includes: DayJob Duties70% - Student Advocacy and Coordination of Responses to Students in DistressProvides administrative interface, coordinating with various campus partners to ensure coherent integration of campus and community resources for individual students.20% - Distress Student ConsultationIn consultation and collaboration with various campus colleagues, serves as a single point of contact campus wide for members of the campus community.5% - EducationWorks with a broad cross section of campus departments to develop and implement marketing campaigns for the campus's student mental health messages.5% - OutreachWorks collaboratively with CAPS and other campus units on the provision of campus-wide training and programs.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training.Demonstrated experience in crisis management, crisis intervention, and case management with college age students/emerging adults.Outstanding oral, written, and digital communication skills.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSMaster's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Public Health, or related field.Direct experience working on college campuses with college age students in a health or mental health setting.SPECIAL CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENTSelected candidate will be required to pass a pre-employment criminal history background check.Ability to maintain appearance and conduct suitable for working in a professional setting.SAFETY STATEMENTAll UCSC employees must understand and follow job safety procedures.EEO/AAThe University of California is an Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.APPLICANTS ARE REQUIRED TO USE THE UCSC ON-LINE PROCESSView full job description and access on-line application:
