In this very hands-on position, you will be in charge of developing and enhancing our proprietary microbial communities that utilize C1 substrates like methane and methanol – from collecting field samples to enrichment, testing, and characterization. There is lots of room to get creative! We aim at building a collection of microbial consortia tailored to specific needs. Other tasks include designing and maintaining cell banks, inventory control, NGS data analysis, and data analysis and presentation.Key Responsibilities:Development and characterization of methane-eating microbial consortia and isolatesCreating and maintaining cell banks and inventory recordsDesigning and executing experiments with minimum guidanceWorking closely with our Fermentation and Screening teamsData analysis and presentation skillsQualifications:PhD in Microbiology / Biology / Biochemistry, preferably with 2-6 years of industry experience.
