Collaborate closely with the Biddeford Regional Center of Technology to align academic and career-technical curricula.Work with school administration, department leaders, and community stakeholders to develop a comprehensive strategic plan for student support services.Represent the Academic and Career Pathways Department on the BHS Leadership Team.

Differentiated Student Support:

Oversee the restructuring of student support services into College and Career Counseling, and Student Health and Wellness.Cultivate partnerships with local colleges, universities, and industry leaders.Spearhead the creation of personalized academic and career plans for all students.

Curriculum and Program Development:

Lead the development of a comprehensive career readiness curriculum.Collaborate with departmental staff to design innovative programming.Ensure the annual BHS Program of Studies accurately reflects course offerings.

Departmental Leadership and Management:

Supervise and evaluate the performance of department staff.Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.Manage departmental budgets and advocate for resources.

Advocate for students:

Collaborate with COT colleagues to promote career and technical education opportunities.Forge partnerships with post-secondary institutions for concurrent and dual enrollment.

Minimum Qualifications:Certification/License:

State licensure or certification as a School Counselor and/or Administrator preferred. Criminal History Record Check (CHRC) required.Education:

Master's degree in school counseling, educational administration, or a related field preferred.Experience:Previous experience in Pre-K through 16 education for a minimum of 5 years.Demonstrated success in leading and managing multifaceted departments.Extensive knowledge of post-secondary admissions and student health/wellness best practices.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Commitment to equity, inclusion, and empowering students.Living and Working in Biddeford, Maine:Located along the Atlantic coastline with miles of beaches, views of the Saco River, and a thriving economy with many recreational opportunities.Equal Opportunity:
