Job Summary:

This role is critical to supporting our business strategies across the 3-tier distribution system by providing insights derived from a variety of data sources, including Nielsen data, category management data, and third-party digital platforms. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing inventory data globally, domestically, and within distributor warehouses, as well as interpreting both domestic and international marketing data. You will drive analysis around pricing and promotional activity, support testing, and generate insights on pricing strategies. Additionally, you will work directly with national accounts (on and off premise) and the marketing team to provide key insights that help win business and implement changes efficiently.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Data Collection & Management:Gather, clean, and maintain large datasets from internal sources, including global, domestic, and distributor warehouse inventory data.Integrate data from external sources such as Nielsen, category management systems, and third-party digital data (e.g., Google Analytics, Door Dash, retail grocery apps, Instacart promotions) to ensure a comprehensive analysis.Develop and maintain databases and dashboards to organize and present data effectively to stakeholders.

Data Analysis:Analyze inventory data across global, domestic, and distributor warehouse levels to identify trends, manage stock levels, and optimize the supply chain.Interpret domestic and international marketing data to inform strategies that align with global business objectives within the 3-tier alcohol beverage industry.Drive analysis around pricing and promotional activity, supporting testing and generating insights on pricing strategies that enhance profitability and market share.Utilize third-party digital data from platforms such as Google Analytics, Door Dash, retail grocery customer apps, and Instacart to assess the impact of digital promotions and customer engagement on sales performance.Conduct market research and competitor analysis to provide insights that support marketing strategies and campaigns within the alcohol beverage market.Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for sales and marketing activities, providing regular reports and insights to the leadership team.

Dashboard Creation & Reporting:Create and maintain dashboards that provide clear, actionable insights to drive strategic decisions across the sales and marketing teams, with a focus on inventory management, pricing, and promotional effectiveness.Deliver comprehensive reports and visualizations that clearly communicate complex data findings, including insights from Nielsen, category management, and digital data, to non-technical stakeholders.

Strategy Support:Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to identify data needs and develop analytics solutions that support business objectives in the alcohol beverage industry.Provide actionable recommendations based on data analysis to optimize sales processes, marketing campaigns, pricing strategies, inventory management, and overall customer experience.Offer insights on both domestic and international marketing trends to help guide strategy and execution, with a particular focus on the unique dynamics of the 3-tier alcohol distribution system.Work directly with national accounts (on and off premise) and the marketing team to provide key insights that help win business, including recommendations based on pricing and promotional analysis.

Predictive Modeling & Forecasting:Develop predictive models and forecasts to support sales and marketing planning and strategy, incorporating insights from inventory data, Nielsen data, category management data, and digital platforms.Analyze historical data to predict future trends and outcomes, helping to drive proactive decision-making within the sales and marketing teams.

Implementation & Collaboration:Provide recommendations from analysis and implement changes efficiently across the organization.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, product, and operations, to align data analysis efforts with broader business goals and the specific needs of the alcohol beverage industry.Communicate insights and recommendations, including those derived from international and domestic marketing data, inventory analysis, and digital data platforms, to senior leadership in a clear and concise manner.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and SKILLS

Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Analytics, or a related field.2-4 years of experience in data analysis, preferably in the alcohol beverage industry or a related field.Proficiency in data analysis tools and software, with a strong ability to create dashboards that provide actionable insights for decision-makers.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets, including Nielsen, category management, inventory data, and third-party digital data platforms.Experience with pricing analysis, promotional activity analysis, and the ability to support testing and generate actionable insights.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present data-driven insights to non-technical audiences.Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Knowledge of the 3-tier alcohol beverage distribution system and its implications for sales and marketing strategy.
