In addition, we offer tuition waivers for employees and dependents.Description:Will participate in and coordinate the Department of Emergency Medicine educational programs including clerkships, resident & fellow programs. Provide clerical support, coordination of educational functions of the program and assist educational leadership in the operation of the educational programming.Duties & Responsibilities:Serves as contact for residents/students/fellows concerning medical education program requirements and guidelines, financial assistance, scheduling.Provides day-to-day operational support as outlined in the ACGME requirements, organize program calendar, scheduling meetings, provides general administrative support (i.e. mail, documents, files documents and sends/receives faxes).Assists Educational leadership team with program logistics, completes administrative paperwork for educational programs, track status of licensure, certifications and communicates to all stakeholders, assist in recruitment activities and interview day activities, other educational duties as assigned.Program Support: Support, collaborate, resource, manage (independently and/or under direction of educational leadership).Typing (compose correspondence or develop from draft), copying and/or sorting documents, filing, scanning (program and resident documents).Licensure and contract (type, copy, sort and track).Educational material organization - maintain confidential information in program spreadsheets and files.Phone contact with faculty, staff, residents and students, message taking by phone, email and in person (for educational leadership).Recording conference attendance, incoming mail (sort, distribute and handle responses as appropriate).Resident educational funds (submit and track expenses).Event Planning: support, collaborate, resource under leadership.Planning and organizing special events (awards, graduation, and other special events).Transcription: support, produce, compiles, resource (for educational leadership team).Meeting minutes (take and compose), dictation memorandums (compose or develop from draft), letters of recommendation (residents and students).Scheduling: support, collaborate, produce, resource (independently and/or under educational leadership).Meeting rooms and setup for education events, proctoring in training exams.Data Entry: support, collaborate, gather, resource, produce (independently and/or under educational leadership).Statistical data, resident confidential information, run reports from web-based systems.Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.Minimum Qualifications Required:High school diploma or equivalent.Any one or combination totaling four (4) years (48 months), from the categories below:A. College coursework in medical education, education, communications, public relations, or a closely related field as measured by the following conversion table or its proportional equivalent:30 semester hours equals one (1) year (12 months)Associate's Degree (60 semester hours) equals eighteen months (18 months)90 semester hours equals two (2) years (24 months)Bachelor's Degree (120 semester hours) equals three (3) years (36 months)B. Progressively more responsible clerical or secretarial experience, including a background in electronic word processing and database management systems.Preferred Qualifications:Knowledge of Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education requirements for emergency medicine.Understanding of ACGME requirements.Event planning and travel coordination.Previous experience working in a residency program.To Apply:
