SeniorDuties And Responsibilities
Perform financial analysis, identify trends and variancesReview and provide an in-depth analysis on project revenues, costs, budget, and variancesConduct monthly financial reviews with managementResponsible for month-end financial close processReconcile General Ledger (GL) accountsProcess/review various journal entries, including deferred rent, depreciation/amortization, accruals, etc.Compile consolidated financial statements, including balance sheet, income statement, equity statement, and cash flow statementAssist in various audits including financial, overhead, and project auditsCompile financial reports and ad hoc reports as neededImprove and enhance processes and internal controlsReview and verify invoices are matched with applicable POsConfirm check requests, invoices, expense reimbursement, and sub-consultant invoices have proper authorizationSort codes and enter vouchers into the systemReconcile accounts payable transactions, prepare analysis of accounts at the Group level, and ensure vendor records are properly keptResearch and recommend programs, policies, and procedures to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of accounts payablePrepare checks, including releasing ACH transactions and web payments, and backup documentation in SalesforceQualifications
Minimum Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting; requiredMinimum 5 years of accounting experience in public and/or private industry; requiredExperience in both GL and project accounting; requiredA&E industry experience is requiredAudit experience is preferred but not requiredStrong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)Deep familiarity with accounting processes and procedures, and internal controlsExperience with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) overhead (preferred but not required)CPA is a plusAll new hires will be required to successfully complete and pass a pre-employment (post-offer) background check in compliance with NIST 800-171Benefits
