Seattle Public Utilities' Drainage and Wastewater line-of-business is looking for a dynamic individual with a collaborative spirit to serve as our next Wastewater Pipe Rehab Program Manager.As the Wastewater Pipe Rehab Program Manager, you're responsible for planning and prioritizing new rehabilitation capital projects, including emergency pipe repairs. Your responsibilities will include:

Managing and tracking the Pipe Rehabilitation Program budget and spending at the project and program levels. This includes tracking performance metrics and updating biannually programmatic case and stage gates for approval by senior leadership.Prioritizing, planning, and initiating new rehabilitation capital projects including emergency pipe repairs. This includes tracking progress of projects, providing direction, troubleshooting, making complex decisions, collaboration across divisions in a matrixed environment.Understanding and oversight of asset management and onboarding procedures for wastewater conveyance system and pipes.Contributing and collaborating on Capacity, Management, Operations and Maintenance (CMOM) Strategy development and execution. Implementing and leading CMOM Rehab Strategy Project, which will develop a long-term capital plan for Seattle's aging sewer pipes and improve program efficiency.Please note this job advertisement is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering TechnologyORA combination of education, training, or experience that provides an equivalent background required to perform the work of the class. One (1) year of education = one (1) year of work experience (i.e. a BS = four (4) years of experience). Additionally, there’s no equivalency for the PE license.

Experience:

Candidates will need to possess the required qualifications below:Requires five years professional civil engineering experienceRegistration as a Professional Engineer in the State of WashingtonCurrent Washington State driver's license or evidence of equivalent mobility

Are experienced with planning work and building capital improvement plansAre an effective communicator, able to develop and share messaging about performanceHave experience with budgeting and design coordinationHave strong data management skills and experience using reporting tools (i.e. Maximo)Are a great collaborator with the ability to work with other groups to help reach consensus on how to move forwardThis position allows for the flexibility of a hybrid work schedule. Employees will be required to come into the office twice a week. Individual schedules will be agreed upon by the employee and their supervisor.

The full salary for this position is $66.70 - $77.67 Hourly ($139,269.60 - $162,174.96 Annually).
